Welcome, Walnut Valley science teachers (clearly the best teachers in the world!)!

At our district articulation, several teachers expressed the desire to have a space where we could share lesson ideas, presentations, labs, etc., as well as request materials of each other. For this reason, I have created this wiki for that purpose. Check in regularly to see what everyone has to say.

If you have never used a wiki before, it's fairly easy. At the top of our page, you will see a button that says "edit". Click this button and the website turns into a page that can be edited, just like a word document. Add the text you want, or perhaps a link to a cool website, then click save. The website will reappear with your changes. Very cool. If you would like a more graphic example of this, check out http://www.commoncraft.com/video-wikis-plain-english

If you need help with this process, e-mail me anytime at jalcazar@walnutvalley.k12.ca.us

Welcome, everyone, and thanks for sharing. Let's get started.

Computer Using Educator's Conference http://www.cue.org/
Several teachers from Walnut attended the 2008 Computer Using Educator's conference (CUE) in Palm Springs. Great information was disseminated about instructional technology, especially the use of blogs, wikis and podcasts.
